Fish for Jaws!
So it's a cold, crisp, winter's day and most of the fish in the lake are lying up for the cold months. All except the largest freshwater predator, the Pike! These awesome creatures, which can grow up to three feet long, stay active during the winter months preying on other fish.
Pike fishing is a truly amazing experience since you don't know when that explosive moment will come, as the Pike attacks the bait with pure power and determination.
During our Fish For Jaws days we will explore the different methods of catching pike, including live baiting, dead baiting and spinning. Be ready for your arm to be aching after playing in one of the hardest fighting freshwater fish. We try to keep a mobile approach and walk around the lake in search of likely looking spots. Once on the bank our trained staff will be on hand to show you how to unhook and care for these amazing creatures.
All tackle, bait, licenses, permits and tuition are included in the price as well as hot tea, coffee and soup to keep the team going. Book up now for the most exciting form of fishing around!
Programs run from the 1st October through to the start of May.
