For Life Experiences believes in the positive benefits of using the outdoor environment to develop both hard and soft skills. Not only will you learn a new hobby and have fun but you will see the benefits of patience, concentration, focus, staying quite, relaxation, and commitment for yourself. These are key personal skills which not only help at the lakeside but also in the classroom, home, work and everyday life.

While on one of our experiences it is the perfect time to build trust and friendships within the group. Many teachers, parents and accompanying staff find that while sitting at the lake fishing the young people often open up and talk more openly about their feelings, thoughts and concerns.

We also provide experiences for individuals and families. What better way to bond a family than to sit together in on the banks of a quite, peaceful lake, watching all the wildlife go by, waiting for the float to slip under the surface. Our Birthday Parties were a huge success during 2007 with many fish caught and smiles seen!

FLE is a member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning and our Director Graham Mabey is an Accredited Practitioner for the Institute of Outdoor Learning. Graham has worked for the last 6 years leading and facilitating groups in the outdoors both in the UK and USA. Currently studying a master's degree in Professional Development and Outdoor Learning at Buckinghamshire University, he is pioneering new theory and thoughts in the ever expanding field of Outdoor Education.
