SUPPORT FOR FLE
It would be impossibe to mention all the people and organisations who have helped shape FLE over the years. FLE is thankful for any contribution to the good work that we do around the community. Some people have helped through spreading the word of our courses, others have donated tackle, other people have helped volunteer to build our classroom or pond ….. the list goes on and on. I do have to make a special mention to a few organisations for their continued support. The first has to be to the Princes Trust who helped me (Graham Mabey) start FLE back in 2006 with a Big Boast grant for young social entrepeneurs. That funding allowed me to by some fishing equipment, laptop, a years insurance and the rest, as they say, is history! Thanks for having the faith in my vision and hopefully now you can see that it has been made a reality! Another shout goes to David Duffes of Pure Fishing for sending me down a load of kit free of charge to get me started in the early days, most is still going strong and has now been sent up to Norfolk to help establish our new centre there, then theres the Beale family at Broadlands Lake for allowing me to coach youngsters on their lakes and use the old caraven I found in the bushes as a classroom! Many thanks Pete. Richard Griff at Shimano, The Environment Agency has helped with funding to train staff and disabled access, Barrie Saunders and the Hampshire Police Authority for helping to fund the building of the educational aquatics room and alarm system, Sparsholt College and the staff for allowing FLE the use of their lake and to do tours of the NATC. And then we have Cooperman from Perfection Groundbaits for his support and help when we got broken into and all our gear stollen, cheers Coops. Lewis Read, Hugh Miles, Chris Yates, Gaz Fareham, Barry and Ben O’Connor, Dave Lane, Jamie Walker, Len Arbry and all the other well known anglers who have come to support FLE, Our Steering Group, my Family for helping out so much with support, building, volunteering and listening to me waffle on! The FLE Staff for their hard work and committment for not much pay at all and lastly the lovely Laura Ladd who for the first four years of FLE supported me through every high and low and everyday, it wouldn’t have been possible without you
We are a Social Enterprise, we do not create customers, we create a community and the larger the community grows….. the more we thank you! – Sorry if i missed anyone out!
